Beacon Hill is the 2nd highest point in Leicestershire and was bought for the public in 1946. It was formerly owned by the Beaumanor Estate.
The windmill which stood on Windmill Hill was destroyed in the 1940s. Only the base now remains.
Broombriggs Farm was given to the County Council in 1970. The farm trail notice boards give interesting information about farming, and the views from the top are magnificent.
