Each May there is a National Forest Walking Festival, for which walks are planned across the whole National Forest, the eastern end of which is in Leicestershire. The walks are of varying lengths, as can be seen from the brochure. Last year LFA contributed two walks to the programme, whereas you can see from this year's brochure that we are offering six to fit in with our normal weekly programme. One will be a Tuesday walk, there will be two each on Wednesday and Thursday and one on Saturday. We hope to attract people who don't normally walk with us and encourage them to join us on a more regular basis. If you are reading about this for the first time, do come along to a part of the county that has plenty of hidden surprises. Happy walking.
