Fancy being a warden?

As you know the Leicestershire Round is a popular long distance route devised by the LFA. I believe the Association has a duty to try and keep the route as safe and trouble free for all walkers to enjoy. The Volunteer Warden Scheme was introduced to try and achieve that ambition, with each volunteer adopting a section of the route and visiting it at least once a year, and reporting any issues.

Recently two volunteers have stepped down from the role having been wardens for a number of years, and therefore, I'm looking to find 2 LFA members who would like to join our merry band and take over a section each.

The sections concerned are Newtown Linford to Woodhouse Eaves, a distance of 4 miles, and

High Cross to Burbage, a distance of 4 miles.

If you would like to joins us or would like more information about the role, please contact me at williamstrefonnen@btinternet.com

You will be more than welcome.

Leicestershire Round Co-ordinator.
