The good news is that a kind non LFA member has stepped forwarded to take on the role of volunteer warden for the Newtown Linford to Woodhouse Eaves section of the Leicestershire Round. Fancy being a warden?
As you know the Leicestershire Round is a popular long distance route devised by the LFA. I believe the Association has a duty to try and keep the route as safe and trouble free for all walkers to enjoy. The Volunteer Warden Scheme was introduced to try and achieve that ambition, with each volunteer adopting a section of the route and visiting it at least once a year, and reporting any issues.
