Mike Stratham besides being Vice President of the Leicestershire and Rutland Area of the Ramblers’ Association is Chairman of the Management Committee of Thringstone House Community Centre. In that capacity, he is extending a warm invitation to our association to make use of the Centre as a base for our walks or for social events.
Mike tells us there is ample and safe off road parking at the Centre and we can walk out straight from the Centre onto public rights of way. There is a link to the Ivanhoe Way, the Sustrans Trail or along permissive paths into Grace Dieu and Cademan Woods, National Forest Sites and then on into Charnwood Forest, Mount St Bernard’s Abbey, Bardon Hill etc.
