Perhaps not an area that we walk regularly, Catthorpe and Swinford are just in Leicestershire but dominated by the massive interchange of the M1, M6 and A14. If you have driven here recently you will be aware that the Highways Agency is spending £191M of our money to speed up the traffic. There is an additional cost or is it benefit. Since the A14 opened there have been two footpaths linking Catthorpe and Swinford that crossed the road on the level. Kamikaze members are too late to explore these paths as they are now closed and will not reopen on completion of the works.
