Charnwood walk from Mount St. Bernards Abbey – Saturday, 27th April, 2013

22 walkers supported Derek on a walk in the Charnwood area.  The weather was variable with sunshine, wind and hail showers.

This photograph was taken from Ives Head with Blackbrook Reservoir shown in the far distance.

The walk continued to Oaks in Charnwood Church, Cathill wood, Timberland hill, Colony Reservoir.  The photographs below are of Leicestershire Long Horn cattle which were passed on the route adjacent to the drive to Springfield farm.  Many thanks to Derek in what was a very rewarding walk.  Derek is pictured near the top of Ives Head which is 201m above sea level and is a craggy hill top.
