125th Anniversary Walk

On Saturday July 9th 20 LFA members started a walk from Beacon Hill to celebrate LFA’s 125th birthday. We enjoyed a beautiful route on new and permissive paths. On our return we stopped to read the plaque erected in 1953 on the avenue path up to Beacon Hill donated in honour of W H Rippin, LFA chairman. We were reminded of events in our long history as a footpath preservation society since 1886.
